I'm in a hotelroom currently in a room (and country) with subpar internet+wifi access. I've got a screenshot below of a inSSIDer view of the situation.

I'm at the 'Gargee Grand' (it isn't) but don't know if what I want to do makes sense: How can I check I'm on the AP with 60dB signal as opposed to the other two that are very low, I only get 2 bars with my Win7 laptop here and it drops out a lot. But AFAIK 60dB is 'enough' signal that things should be fairly reliable.

Or is it that as Win7 only shows one Gargee Grand AP they are in fact all joined together?

Or what other tips and tricks are there to max out what I can get!

The only other thing I could think of is get a USB wifi adapter and trail that around so it's near the door -Bit overkill though. But such a tool might make it into my travelling gadget kit for next time.

No good old LAN access :(

More than likely screwed as there's a hell of a lot of overlap on the channel they've picked for that AP.
