I currently have an EE Smart router running 100mb BB, this is located on the RH outer wall, I'm currently using a cheap TP link plug extender to reach the extreme opposite sides of the house but it's not ideal and dips in and out when there's a few connections in the living room (furthest away from the modem). I have 2 CAT 6 connections run to every TV point and 4 in the study above the living room so anything like TV's are hardwired to the network, I was originally thinking of adding a Mesh system but seeing as the extender is almost doing what I want on its own I think upgrading this would resolve any issues I'm having.
What would your recommendations be? I'm thinking an EE smart disc may just be enough or even an AP on one of the spare points in the study?

If you have 100mb fibre you want something that can handle that speed. Anything greater than 300mb on WiFi.

Do you have power next to the Ethernet cable ends or does it need to have POE capabilities?

You got a budget?
Current speed is 100mb but have 450mb and 900mb options available which I'll jump to at some point but that would only really be for streaming which will be done through a wired connection.
If I can keep it around the £100 mark that would be great, Study has a spare power point but when I get around to sorting CCTV out the cabinet will get POE as well.

I would be very tempted to just buy a second hand access point if you going to upgrade stuff in future just to get you by.

Something like a 2nd hand unifi access point or tp link omada range. Mikrotik has a good range of access points as well. Don’t buy brand new if you going down an upgrade path.

I defo wouldn’t spend £100 if it is just a temp thing.

Great thanks Gary, in fact I'll probably just ring EE tomorrow and upgrade it as its only showing £10 more per month to go from 100mb to 900mb
