Back to the faithful Overclockers forum's for help with my wireless hell.

I recently purchased a Netgear 108Mpbs Wireless PCI Card and a Netgear 54Mbps Wireless Router.

The problem I have is the Signal is just not strong enough at night. I can not really move the computer or the router, so I was wondering if there was another way around my problem. I have heard of these boosters which I maybe able to place somewhere aroudn the house but im not really sure and have not really come up with much whilst searching.

Has anyone else had this problem, and got around it?

Higer gain antenna from some auction site or or another online retailer as ocuk don't stock 'em and also consider that the straight line path from your router to your pc go through walls at very flat trajectory's making the wall significantly thicker.

Avalon, I think thats the problem, the PC is in a horrible place.

I dont like the sound of an antenna, I would prefer something with no wires I could hide somewhere to sort of boost he connection, is there a device I can just plug in somewhere?

Thanks

Get the glue out and make a parabolic reflector

hahah, the pc is in the living room, there is no way my will allow that in her living room.

I have seen a netgear booster thing, I think im gonna get that.

The signal was low most of last night but I still managed to get a few PCW's in without disconnecting, I think it might be ok for now.

If I get disconnected whilst playing a Clan War, then I will have a rethink.

Thanks for your input though guys, was hoping there was something software based I could do too.

Hmm, i like the idea of the Netgear WGXB102 but its another £80 ontop of the £95 I already paid, ggrrr.

Im gonna see hoe my cash flow goes.
