Boosting Wireless Range

Yet another problem I guess...

I just recently purchased that Nintendo Wii (well... I say recently, I mean on the release date) but I tried connecting it to the internet using my wireless network.

Apparantly my Wii is ever so slightly out of range of my router, but i cant move my Wii closer to the router and i cant move my router closer to my Wii.

The Wireless router that i got was the Sisco Systems Wireless-G Linksys router- I had been reccomended that router because apparantly it's easy to overclock for a range boost to make it as effective as something 4 times the price.

Any ideas about how i would go about boosting the range without having to build something with a pringles can, coat hanger and tin foil?

Thanks in advance~

Buy better antennae for it (and/or the Wii), and/or turn up the power as you implied.

You'll probably need third party firmware to do the latter though - what router is it you've got?
It sounds like you mean a Linksys (who are a subsidiary of Cisco Systems), but you didn't mention a model number...

Type of Router

hmmmm

Wireless - G Linksys 2.4GHz Router.

My PC and laptop use the wireless conection and my 360 uses the Wired connection

Package Model no. : WGKPC354G-UK
Router Model :WAG354G ADSL Gateway

No, the model number for the router, not a kit with a router and a wireless network card.
Google suggests the router's a WAG354G (is that what you've got - the router's model number should be on a label on the bottom), which isn't supported by most (AFAIK, any) third party firmware.
So if the default firmware won't let you turn up the power (and I doubt it will), you're out of luck there and your only real option is buying better antenna.

Edit: While I'm at it, your signature's too big. From the FAQ:

A signature may contain one or more images but they must fit within a box with maximum dimensions of 400 x 75 pixels (width x height) and with a maximum (combined) file size of 20k. Images containing mostly very large words or animated .gifs will not be permitted. You may also add 1 consecutive lines of normal or smaller text directly above or underneath the image with no spaces inbetween image and text. If no images are used then up to 4 consecutive lines of normal or smaller text is permitted. Do not pad out your text lines with blanks lines. A line of text is defined as having a maximum length of 400 pixels.

One of those problems was fixed before you complained

It wasn't when I posted and I'm hardly complaining, but

The other (somewhat more expensive) option I didn't mention was another wireless device and using WDS. Put it somewhere between the WAG and the Wii, and it should extend the range, similarly to if you'd moved the router to where the new device would be.
