Boot Camp and Parallels Updated!

Just a quick heads up for all of you enjoying these fantastic technologies. Both Apple and Parallels have released new versions of both apps today.

Improved drivers for BC and Parallels has improved 3D and USB2 support.

Get 'em while their hot.

Just a heads up, the new Parallels is version 3, so your 2.5 keys won't work with it.

The compatability list for 3D stuff on Parallels is still pretty limited, so don't expect to be running the latest and greatest games in a VM

I think that if you purchased Parallels recently (during May) I think they will provide a code free of charge. I would suggest emailing them if you fall in that category.

I don't use Parallels as VMWare Fusion is better and free whilst in beta.

The best combo I've found by a country mile is Fusion running off a BootCamp partition, for things like Visual Studio it really is hard to tell the difference between that and running it natively.

Fusion has also recently been updated with their equivilent of Coherence.

Hmmmm - I wonder if this will finally get Vista to work on my Mac Pro - it refuses to work on it! everything installs except the GFX driver - so it's in really silly 800 x 600 hundred 4 colour mode!
