Just got my iMac and most software I use is available in mac format but I need to run certain windows applications that I use for work - mainly Autocad. I know it's avail in a mac format but as I have ££££ tied up in that software I don't want to spend money unnecessarily. So my question is do I go down the route of boot camp or by using Software like parallels 8 to create a virtual setup - I would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this.:)

Parallels and VMWare give pretty much identical performance, use whichever you prefer the look of.

I wouldn't use Boot Camp though, rebooting into Windows kind of defeats the object of having a Mac.
