hey

i use acronis true image to create and updated image everytime i shut down my main machine :) it works great i dont have to worry about loosing all my work.

so for my macbook i am now using super dupur to do the same thing... but as for my bootcamp xp partition Acronis says it can read from it cos it GUID.

so i was wondering what other software people are using out there to backup there xo data on a daily basis ?

cheers :)!

hey

thanks for your input :)

yeah its not in the windows forum because its a mac only boot camp issue :)
i cant create an image because its GUID. but thats ok. because aslong as can back up all the files i can get it all working again

as for backing up and image quality, it creates an a image update file for every update. so the oringal image is unaffected.

so yes my question is how can i backup my windows files in windows or mac everyime i shutdown,

why backup so often? well i work all the time on my mac and even a days loss of information could be curcial.

plus its a laptop, who knows whats going to happen to the thing on a daily basis

hey thanks for your input man :D

you can do that using the mac os install cd and disk utility :) although i am guessing you were restoring to an NTFS partition? cos that the limitation of disk utility, you can read but cant restore to NTFS, only fat 32.

cheers for the info. good read :)

i am still looking for a way to make incremental backups of windows xp, i have a backup already of the whole Os which i can restore but i really like my backups to mange them selves :) cos i am kinda lazy and i dont want to have to worry about when i will have to backup next.
