Hi.

Every now and then I get this error when starting or restarting my PC. It happens when detecting the IDE drives:

Warning: Boot device has changed.

BBS boot priority will be affected. please enter setup to check.

Sometimes I can just reset and all is fine but othertimes I will have to manually go into the BIOS and re-detect each of the drives.

My system is as follows:

Athlon 64 X2 3800+
Abit AN8 Ultra
2gb Geil Ram
GeForce 7800 GT

Drives:

Hitachi Deskstar 250GB SATA II
Western Digital 80GB
Maxtor 40GB
Lite-On DVD SOHD-16P9S
LG Dual Layer DVD Writer

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi...

PC shuts down fine and hopefully the cables are in properly

Not too sure about the Master/Slave relationships. How would I check that?

Thanks for the reply :)
