Boot disc error

keeps coming up with this
Boot disc error insert disc
then will work 10 min later
any issues with this config which i dont know about
p31 board gigabyte
2180
2gb geil ddr2

that is astrange one, not aware of any known problems. with that particular combo but it is poosible i suppose.

so when you get this error you have to wait 10 mins before it boots ??

I would reseat all the connectors between the HDD and m/b. One of the cables may be loose.

Make sure your hard disk is the first boot device.

How far in the boot process do you get this error.. Before Post, just after or during windows startup?

the time is not specifically 10min, after a while
i built 2 of this config
i'll probably go round and check the bios, the cables etc, and report back
i did run an everest stress test for hours on it though with no issues

ps ram is at the right voltage
