boot error problem

hi

sorry if this is in wrong section.

my pc crashed and now when i load up it says boot error insert system disc and press enter, so i insert my vista home prem disc and press enter but nothing, ive tryed changin every boot up source in bios but still no luck.

what machine is it? did you buy it ready made? I 'm guessing so.....

i bought it readymade in overclockers ive had it for a little while now, rad 4700hd , 4gb ram, asus motherboard, 2.4ghz cpu, 64 bit vista.

im using ps3 broswer for this posting.

If you are correctly telling machine to boot from disk and you have correct disk then I would reckon you've killed your hard drive. Can you try your HD in another machine??

i see, i could try exteral hdd if i can find it
