Boot Error

Hi Guys, hopefully someone can help. My mums pc is coming up with the following "boot disk error, insert disk to continue" when it first starts up on the bios screen. Usually I would play about with the machine myself and figure it all out, but Im working abroad for the year so cant figure out the problem.
It was working fine until yesterday when she went to boot it up and it came up with that error. Any ideas what the problem could be and how it can be fixed? Sorry for being so vague but like I said Im no way near the machine so dont know the specifics. TIA

i had this error with a new build u should be able to by pass it with f8 at start up then i jus disabled the floppy in windows and it worked fine: duno y disabling it in BIOS didnt work
