Boot fail after SATA playabout

When disconnecting a data drive for another (recovering data for a friend) my Windows & fails to boot a gives a GRUB message (I used to run Ubuntu as a dual boot)

If I disconnect all drives except the OS drive, it boots, restart connect all drives, and reboot, all is well again.

Suggestions?

You set it to boot from the right drive in BIOS?
