"Boot from CD/DVD..." Fail.

Right, my system specs are

E6300
Gigabyte DS3
3Gb Geil PC6400 CAS4 RAM
7900GS
3 Hard Drives (SATA)
SATA DVD Drive

I had to format my pc and reinstall Winblows, which i have done hundreds of times.

Half way through my instalation it crashed, the media died im sure. Which caused some problems but i got around that by putting in another HDD with Windows on it, and re-formating my Windows partition.

Back to the start.

Set to boot from CD.. get the message "Boot from CD/DVD..." then it just goes on to say NTDLR is missing - ofcourse it is, Windows isn't installed.

So far i have tried...

Different DVD/CD Drives (IDE and SATA)
Different media
Taking out the battery and leaving for a while
Changing the SATA ports around on the ROMs

And other things no doubt.

All thats left which i can think of is

1) Set fire too it
or
2) Hit it a few times with a hammer (Hard)

Anyone got ANY ideas at all? Its literally driving me nuts not knowing why it won't boot from CD.

Think i got a result of some kind.. unplugged all the fans in the case - see if it was some kind of power problem, and it booted :)
 
That's weird, but surely then the fans work when Windows is installed?

I know to reinstall windows I have to unplug other hard drives and flash drives that aren't required.
