Hi,

When I turn my pc on it will fire up the fans but wont post/do anything.
This has happened a few times before and I realized the issue was if power was down totally I then had real trouble getting it to boot.
If it did boot after maybe 5 tries, I would leave the power connected and just turn on and off as usual.

Well this time it seems I lost power and now can not get it to boot! I do not have another PSU or Motherboard to try to diagnose.

It sounds more like motherboard to me??

Hope you can help
Sean

It might be that something is shorting the board? A bit of a chore but have you tried running the PC with the motherboard outside the case and having only the bare essentials plugged in?

do you get or have any lights on the mobo to indicate that its getting power at all?

is it the PC in your sig?

try re seating your ram and power connections to the mobo from the PSU (should be 2 of them)

Tried it one more time without doing anything and it worked!!

It flashed the BIOS again I think from the built in backup. Come to think of it this happened last time as well I just forgot about it.

I presume this means a new motherboard is in order for sure now? I know as long as I do not turn the plug of and just shut down It should be though.

Thanks,
Sean
