Hi all

I had the current issue when i 1st bought the parts from ocuk the other month,it seemed i had sorted it but it has since come back and im kinda stuck at this point with what it could be.

I have tested each RAM stick with mem test, reseated the CPU,the bios is the latest,i have re checked the wiring.

The only thing that seemed to cure it which no longer works was changing the bios setting from fast boot to normal boot or there is an option called power loading or something(ill have to check)that stopped the issue when set from auto or enabled to off.

Now i've done a little reading and read something about certain power supplies not working correctly with haswell chips,is this true, could this be an issue?

the computer and temps are fautless as in it runs all day with out issues, but soon as you boot the machine up in a morning or some times after shutting it down this happens.

here is video of the issue,i was ill when doing it so sorry for all the sniffling and stuff lol

If I remember correctly thhey call this a cold boot issue, My Gigabyte boards have done this in the past and sometimes the latest BIOS revision helps.

Hi thanks for your reply

There was no new bios months ago when i bought the parts,i have just checked and gigabyte released a new bios version 3 days ago.

my bios is F5 the new one is F6e but the new one is beta,is this going to be worth trying to update to?
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4953#bios

Id be gutted if i tried to update to this new one and killed my board off some how.

Got cold boot issue here myself...

Bios update should be fine as your board should have dual bios?
checked and it does have dual bios so its safe :)

If it goes wrong then 2nd default bios chip kicks in...no more bricked boards :)

0.0 sweet,i thought it was the 7 series board with the dual bios, how do you switch between a bricked bios and the backup?

are you also using the same board? have you cured your issue?

No i have older p67 board and never fixed the issue

Backup bios chip kicks in automatically should main one get corrupted etc.

Never had to use it on this board but did on another gigabyte board i have in 2nd rig.
