Year and a half old z97p-D3 has begun endless boot looping.

I have it out of the case, minimum hardware attached, have tried different ram reset cmos, left battery out ect, but no joy.

I think the main and backup bios are courrupted.

Anyone got any ideas before I send it off for RMA?

Hiya,

Different mobo (asus rampage v extreme)

Mine after a few days started to randomly bios reboot lol

I thought it was bios corruption etc

11 days later called ocuk up, took it in with the ram/cpu i got at the same time

Testing, horrid noises coming from the back of the shop, wasn't my bios's as it turned out

Was a chip to keep voltages etc in check and fed correct values etc (can't rem the lettering for it) it was dying, and actually as the guy let me listen it really died in a nice load fashion lol

Like yourself, i tried new battery/left it out/tried back flashing etc/min hw attached

No idea on your mobo though, but also, as it cold boots into the bios, do you notice it seems a lot slower than when she worked fine ?

A cold boot from mine into the bios loop (for want of better wording) took an age, and if it made it into the bios, to choose an option and click eg OK/Accept, it took a real age to do the biz

Only thing i can remotely think of as it's pretty much like mine was :(

Hope it ends well for you though

Mine being so new, they tested and replaced right after death lol

I'm having this problem right now, tested the PSU and it's working, very occasionally it breaks the boot loop and I've even gone into bios and to bios splash screen but that's so rare.

It's back to infinite boot looping, I RMA'd the board and I've got it back but gigabyte didn't leave a note or anything saying if they changed anything, it's just my board back, same problem.

Did any one figure it out, you wouldn't happen to know which chip it was that caused the problem?

Cheers
Been out of action for like a month now :(
