Boot managing softare XP / Vista

I am after a Boot managing software that gives me the choice when booting PC.

I have tried VistaBootpro which didnt really work.

the laptop- it came with vista, i installed XP and used the vista disk to repair boot up sequence so it loads vista. this is so it could be used in the time i look for a working boot loader.

so, i now ask for a WORKING boot loader which is easy to install.

Free i assume? I would say Vista Boot pro tbh. There is always Acronis OS Selector if you want to pay. Or just edit your boot.ini manually.

noo, still not ok

none of these are working, it keeps saying " NTL....not found" and doesnt go past that.

vista still loads though.

Odd, if you install XP then vista on a second partition vista automatically sorts out your boot options and it gives you a nice black boot manager.

well, its a laptop that came with vista, and boot manager softwares usually sort the problem out.. but the boot manager doesnt find the xp load sequence thingy... just vista. we've tried different drive letters too.
