I hope this is in the right section....

I have a computer build around a Evga 680i SLI board (122-ck-nf68). This system has run fine for over 3 years until recently.
What happens is that upon turning the computer on from cold, I do not hear the beep as the system boots, I have to switch the the computer off 3 or 4 times until the beep is heard and the computer then boots up. Over the last month this has got worse to the point it can take upto 30 minutes till the beep is heard and the computer boots!
Once booted up the computer runs fine for hours. If any one can help me I would be greatly appreciative. if more system info is required please ask....

thanks
in advance......

Right guys, thanks for your responses..

I have reset the cmos and have updated the bios to P33 which according to EVGA is the lastest bios version.

As for the psu, it is a Corsair 620w modular. I have had 2 of these replaced under warranty and i am wondering if this is the problem, though when the 2 previous units failed they popped and fizzed loudly and smelt bad! My system is running a BFG 8800GTX graphics card, 2 cd/dvd drives and 4 cooling fans I would have thought this psu has more than enough power to run this setup.

I am going to let the system cool down over night and try a cold boot tomorrow. I will let you know how I get on. thanks again for your responses.

Update...

Tried a boot from cold this morning to no avail. I will strip it all down and let you know the result. Thanks again for your help guys its much appreciated.
