Hi guys ....

Hopefully someone might be able to help with this predicament that Im having with this latest build..

Ryzen 7 3700x
MSI Tomahawk Max B450
32gb Crucial Ballistix Sport 3200mhz
Corsair TX650w psu
Samsung Evo 500gb ssd
Gigabyte Aorus 5700xt 8gb

Put the machine together and turned on power button..
Everything lit up and no post error lights on the board.

However no display at all on boot.

Tried adding the other psu 8 pin cable to the graphic card, so there are now 2 8 pin plugs from the 2 outputs on the psu going to the gpu..

Still nothing..

Tried my old RX480 in the new build and posted first time, bios etc... It actually displayed something..
Should add that the RX480 only uses 1 8 pin connection.

Tried the 5700xt in my old machine and again used 2 leads from the psu with gpu, tried booting and again no display..

Replaced it with the RX480 and again it booted..

Called OCUK tech and guy said that it sounds like a fault with psu not pumping out enough power, then I overheard someone say it might be the gpu faulty..

Anyone have any ideas apart from taking it back to get it checked out.. Thanks

Try the RX 480 with the other 8 pin cable. And do make sure all the cable are firmly seated at both ends. Personally I suspect the GPU. You might have damaged the 5700XT by only using one 8 pin cable. Or did you use two plugs on one cable?

How you connecting it?
For some reason my build wouldn't initially display with a display port cable
I had to use hdmi first
Which worked fine and then plugged in
Display port cable which then worked perfectly
No idea why it did it though

Just tried the HDMI , naff all either...

Tried it on the monitor and the tv.... When plugged into the tv it doesnt even recognise that anything is plugged into the hdmi port..

I plugged 1 cable into the 2 x 8 pin connectors .... Ive spoke to someone on another forum and they have the same card and they are running it off 1 cable that has the 2 x 8 pin on the ends
Tried all cables on the 480 and works fine in both machines... Cable fully in and tight..

Which one did you swap it out for and any problems with the new one??
Went for a Nvidia 2070s after mate was going to get sapphire nitro but didn't want to take the risk if I'd known there was others having problems with the aorus card I would have got the nitro and took the chance to be honest but I'm happy with the card I've got know it worked straight out the box

I went for the MSI Tri Frozr 2070.... All working hunky dory at the moment... Only problem I have is when it is posting I have a large white pixel show on the screen before Windows 10 finally loads...
