When I turn pc on the Gigabyte post screen comes on and thats it, it just stays on that screen, cant even get into the BIOS either. It happened after my nephew flicked the switch on the wall to turn pc off, since then cant get it to boot.

I've reset the CMOS still no luck, would it be the board thats duff?

Also on a similar note could someone reply with the hardware boot sequence when turning the pc on, think its Mobo, CPU, RAM, GPU, then all connected devices i.e. HDD, optical e.t.c. Is that right?

Board is a GA-P35C-DS3R
E2140 @ 2.6 ghz
2gb of ballistix 5300

Ye I've fully cleared CMOS, On my board you have 2 pins what you short for a few seconds to clear CMOS. I shorted them for about an hour just to make sure but no difference.

I've just took 1 stick of memory out and it booted up fine, did get an error message about CMOS checksum error so I think I will RMA the board and run memtest on both sticks of RAM.

I have definately got 1 duff stick. pc wont even boot with it in and other stick checks out ok in memtest.

Dont half notice the difference with there only being 1gb aswell.

Cheers for your help
