Hey i built my new i7 pc last week and i have been running vista SP1 on it since then. ive noticed that coming from windows xp to vista the boot/shutdown times seem a little to much. for the speed of the pc it seems strange it takes almost a minute to boot and takes over 20/30 seconds just to shut down, i cant work it out. thanks for any help as im new to vista and am so far unimpressed : / thank you for your time.

thats not fixing the issue of why its doing it though, and why would it need to sort itself out f its software surley its only what i do with it it wont change itsself?

no its only AVG and Sound MAX that load on startup, quick boot is enabled in the bios but i still have to sit through loads of boot sreens etc, also the windows vista loading part takes a long time. i cant figure it out comng from xp where it just worked : /
