Hi I just put one of these in to my macbook pro and installed a new copy of snow leopard fully updated. The boot time seems a bit slow at 45 seconds. Is it slow or normal.

Thanks

Jeff

Nah, that's too slow. Agree with the above on setting the startup disk - saves some time.

For example my OCZ is here:

Details on my MBP with a Crucial M225 - earlier model to your but still relatively valid.

I have the c300 256 in my mbp too! boot time is fast, but there is a wait for the desktop to become completely responsive which im not too sure about why that happens....

i only use a crappy 60gb CRUCIAL_CT64M225 and mine is 15 seconds easy to turn on to internet running.. so 45 seconds is well unhappy times

OK I did all that and now it is 30 seconds. Thanks for the help.

That's about right - depends where you time from. I tend to time from the 'bong' and the screen on, as that's what comparison videos I've seen seem to do.

If you time from the second you hit go, then 30 seconds on an SSD is about right.

Nice isn't it? Saying that, I rarely reboot my machine anyways.
