Hello, today I have noticed that my boot time has increased for a bit. Everything else seems fine but it takes much longer than usual for the welcome screen on Win7. I have recently read about graphics drivers being the problem, can this e true as it started after switching to integrated graphics ?

Any help will be appreciated :) thanks in advance

thanks, thats really useful, on 02.01.2014 at 19:11 my boot time was 23.75 seconds however at 21:47 it went upto 37.5 seconds. now it at 60.5 seconds. Is there a way i can find out what caused this or is the easiest way to fix it to use system recovery ?

This didn't help so I restored my windows to an earlier date however when booting it gave me the BSOD with error 0x06B, this happens each time I try to boot, I then selected startup using system recover and it asks me to recover the pc to an earlier date again however at this point neither my mouse or keyboard does not work.

I use Soluto to measure boot time, it also gives you the estimated effect of everything which starts during windows bootup so you can find which are the main ones causing problems.

I tend not to leave it installed, but used it a few times to find what was causing an issue, which I could then disable or fix (msconfig or update etc)... and then remove soluto.

Dunno if its been fixed or not but one thing that can massively increase your boot times in Windows 7 is if you use a plain colored tiled background image - it adds 30-40 seconds to your boot time.

The issue had now turned from reducing
Boot time to actually being able to boot as after the recovery I have don't I am getting BSOD with error code 0x06B and I have to start windows with recovery mode which my mouse and kb becomes useless. I had a gpu the time I set the recovery but now I am using onboard graphics, can this be the problem ?

Yes, it could be related to drivers.. Can you boot in safe mode?
