 Hi All , I want to know something to do with the boot up of the system ,what should the order of boot up be ? ie 1st DVD 2nd HDD etc ?

When your installing windows you need it to be Floppy (if you have one), then CD ROM, HDD, then floppy. I have mine on CD-ROM, Hard drive, then floppy, even though I don't have a floppy drive (though this is rarely an issue nowadays!)

So I would say

1. DVD/CD ROM (your main one (i.e. the master)
2. Hard drive (main again i.e. master)
3. other hdd (if you have one, or floppy)

Or if you dont like waiting, then put your Hdd as first (i.e. the one with the windows install!) like Paul_64l said! :D

Yep same as above. unless I actually need to boot from something else my os hdd is always first in the queue with the rest disabled. I also try to have as little as possible set to 'auto' in the bios to try and speed up booting.

nope not needed for SATA drives as they have their own channels, might have to remove the jumpers to get them running at 3Gbps

did it recently on my Seagate drive as I forgot to do so after installing it :o
