Asus P4P800-E Deluxe "Springdale" (Socket 478) Motherboard

I suspect the motherboard.

Have stripped out all non-essential components. Without the video card I get the long beep, 2*short beep - replace this no beeps.

All fans working, power is getting to the motherboard,

Have swapped the CMOS battery.

Floppy or HDD won't kick into boot mode.

Anything else I can try to pin it down?

Thanks - I already know the beeps relate to the video card.

With the existing video card I get nothing.
With no video card I get the beeeep beep beep
With a working video card from another machine I get beeeep beep beep

Could it be the AGP slot on the motherboard?

The card works fine in another machine.

I have used RAM from another machine and no change.

Could a fault in the PSU cause this?

Another PSU and the machines boots up fine.

Never seen it before where a faulty PSU seems to work in every way - but prevents boot-up.
