I need a disk to boot into DOS that i can add a few other small programs to when i create it,
I dont currently have any blank CD's, is it possible to create a bootable DOS DVD?
And if so how would you go about doing it? what images / files etc would you use?
I have tried a couple things but they will not boot.

If you have Nero, there is an option to burn a DVD-ROM (Boot) disc which lets you emulate a dos boot disk. You can then add your additional files or images if you want a make a 'recovery' type disc.

Yes, what I have done in the past ( Works with CD or DVD ) is make a Boot Floppy, and use the image off that floppy in NERO to create a bootable CD.

It then emulated booting from floppy, and makes your real A: into B: and the Vistual A: thats off the CD then becomes A:

All the junk you want, put onto the CD/DVD as normal in Nero and away you go!

Adjust your AUTOEXEC / CONFIG as needed of course on the original A:

LOL No, they dont I suppose, but then again, its exactly this reason why some people ( Myself included ) still use them.

In fact thats the only reason I use them, but the fact still remains is that they are used by a lot more people than you'd think.
