hi all

so ive got a mac book pro which im setting up.
its the a1229 model made in 2007

ive installed snow leopard. and have just installed Windows 7 enterprise X64 on it aswell

now in windows, i cant right click, and most of the key board keys don't work such as the back slash \

ive ran the boot-camp assistant in mac and it doesn't pick up any of the windows software, comes back with "windows software cannot be downloaded" or something along those lines and i know the internet connection is fine on there because i browse around the net.

ive tried putting my mac CD in while in windows but for some reason it wont read the disc and shows nothing on the disc even though i know it works because ive just installed snow Leopard from it

any body know i way around this to make it work or get the drivers?

That MacBook model isn't officially supported for 64-bit editions of Windows 7. Linky.

You'll need a 32-bit version of Windows 7 and the Boot camp 3.1 update if memory serves.

so if i reinstall with 32 bit, then put the mac cd in, it should work?

weve got all the versions of boot camp already from 2.0 to 4.0 i bielve so 3.1 will be on the server somewhere

Yeah. Depending on the OS version on the CD it should have at least Boot Camp 3.0 on there, then run the 3.1 update if required.
