Bootcamp not working

Installed snow leopard on my Macbook and well.... I'll just leave it as that. I'm trying to install Windows 7 on a partition but after it restarts it asks for drive one or drive two :confused:

Ideas? Had it working with vista for over a year

You mean that it's asking you which partition to install Windows 7 on? I so pick the correct one - size should be a giveaway.

nope. I've partitioned and it knows which side it's being installed to. It restarts to begin installation, on a black screen it talks a about a cd drive or something, either on or two but obviously there's only the..... one

Ah ok 64 bit on a pre 2009 macbook/MBP?

You need to re image it to allow you to install 64 bit Windows with Apples older EFI.

I bought this early 2008 but the processor is 64bit. would I have to install a 32bit version? vista was 64bit and worked fine, no problem

Its to do with the EFI that MS use in W7.

I had to do it for my Mid 2007 Macbook Pro.

It will work, you just have to do this:

I don't get why Vista 64 worked but whatever, you need to do that.
