Hi all,

I'm using bootcamp so i can use my windows xp for some programs that require windows that mac doesn't support, nothing of note just a training program i'm using.

Anyway for the last fortnight i've had the yellow shield in the bottom right of the taskbar showing updates available for download, hence i clicked on this to download & install. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to work & does download but not install the updates.
Question is can anyone tell me on how i can get these updates to install please, i just want to make sure xp is up to date.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

:D

They should install automatically after you tell it to,

Yeah i've clicked the icon and dialog box to make the install, but for some unknown reason they just don't install the updates. Weird!
It's a perfectly legit and registered install of xp, so i'm wondering what's wrong?

Well i've tried running the Bootcamp update within Windows and i've got the latest version running 2.1.1.116, and again tried the Windows update site even with the Microsoft update site too with no luck. I really don't understand.
The trouble is the training course software disc doesn't support Vista for me to upgrade to.

*Edit* Just sorted it, disabled Windows update & re-booted then tried Microsoft update again, but with more sucess :D :D :D

Tweak the "way Windows annoys me" in the control panel and turn off Automatic Update.
