Hey guys,
Basically, when I power down my system, I turn off all the plugs (trying to be green and all...), but when I go to boot up again, I switch on the mains, press the power button, and a screen comes up saying the CPU has been changed or is not there, and the alarm comes on. Now to fix it, for some reason, I got into BIOS, and change CPU voltage from auto to manual, save changes, and reboot. And that's it, for some reason that works. But when the OS boots and the desktop appears, the date and time has been changed to 01/01/2008.
If I power down and DON'T switch off the mains, keep it on standby, it boots no problem.
Any ideas why this could be? I've gone through so many forums but I can't find a solution. I'd like to switch everything off at the mains when I power down.
Many thanks.
Michael
