Booting every second time.

The PC in my signature has been running perfectly for a long time but recently it has started to only boot sucessfully every second time. It turns on but my monitor doesn't get a signal; turning it it off and on will cause it to boot normally. This would be annoying but not so much of a problem if constant rebooting didn't cause the ASUS bios to wipe my overclock.

Any ideas?

Sounds like it thinks your overclock is unstable.

is your bios losing its settings?

Has something decreased the airflow? Maybe a new item near the computer or dust inside?

The bios is not losing the rest of its settings and I can't think of anything that could have decreased airflow. The overclock has been stable since I bought my Q6600 brand new.
