Booting from SATA optical drive

Does the SN25P boot ok / allow Windows installation from an SATA optical drive?
I've heard that it can be an issue with some older motherboards.

There's no real way to tell with these things unless you're lucky enough to find someone with the exact same hardware.

I had a 945G chipset board which would play up badly with a SATA optical drive - it would disappear from Windows, refuse to read discs, all sorts.

Maybe you could try it and send back under DSR if it doesn't work?

I'll give it a go, can always swap it with my IDE one in another computer if it doesn't work properly.
