Booting from USB drive on DS4

I'm trying to boot a program from my verbatim USB stick using my gigabyte DS4 motherboard. I have made it bootable and tried all the possibilites USB-ZIP, USB-HDD etc but it won't seem to boot it. I have also updated my BIOS to the latest one. Can anyone give any suggestions? It won't boot just goes straight into windows.

I think "Legacy USB storage detect" has to be enabled in the BIOS to boot from USB stick.

If you press F12 during POST it should bring up the boot device menu. Can you see the USB drive in the list ?
