Been ages since I've done this and having a relapse! Just updates my BIOS on my Asus P6T Deluxe but I need to boot into pure dos so I can update the Marvell SAS firmware. Once I've done this I can install Win 7. Anyone help?

Maybe do a google for bootable dos pen drive?

On a seperate note does your board not have EZ-Flash in the bios? This will let you flash the bios without booting to dos and you can select the file from a pen drive or cd (possibly hdd?).

Sorted it out now, had an old Win 98 boot disk that worked.

I did flash the bios using EZ-Flash but then I needed to go into DOS to update the Marvell SAS Firmware as a result of the BIOS update otherwise the machine wouldn't post.
