Hi people

I have been having some problems trying to get Windows to boot properly lately.
It seems to get stuck on the Windows loading page when the blue bar is moving across the screen. Sometimes it'll load fine in about 10 seconds or so then other times it can take about 2-3 minutes :(
I have also noticed that the HDD seems to chatter. After looking at the system log in the Event manager there are loads of disk errors. This cant be the HDD because I have tried installing Windows on 3 different Seagate 7200.8 drives. I also tried changed all the sata cables and it always ends up the same.
I'm using a Asus A8N SLi Premium. BIOS 1009
I still haven't gotten around to overclocking yet. This is a pretty new built system.

Any ideas

I wasn't certain were to post this so please feel free to move to a more appropriate thread.

Windows seems to install in the same sort of time. Nothing unusual.

I also have stripped down all the programs that don't need to be loaded in mscofig.

I was wondering if this may be down to a hardware / driver conflict
