Hi,

Built a new system this week (spec below). Started up fine, installed win7 fine, installed programs etc fine. Turned the computer off and thats when the problems started.

If i try turn it back on straight after shutting down the first time i hit the power button the fans move a little then stop, then no matter how many time i press the power button nothing happens.

To solve this i have to unplug the power cable, switch the PSU off, then plug everything back in again and it starts up. Ive tried switching the power switch cable around to make sure i have positive and negative correct, same thing happens.

After i unplugged the cable from the wall (still plugged into PSU) i put my hand on the pins of the plug and got an electric shock.

Any help as to what the problem may be would be much appreciated.

I spy a power supply that i have never heard of,

rule munber 1 of OCUK club is- you dont ever by a rubbish power to supply.

rule number 2 of OCUK club is- a PSU that cost around £40 for 700w is usually too good to be true
