Hi guys me and the missus just purchased a second hand computer which we both saw active and running before purchasing.

We both got it home and booted the computer and had a little play around on windows 7.

After we turned the computer off and back on again we are unable to get into windows.

The computer goes through its american mega trends process, then the computer makes a beep, it then brings us to the "windows error recovery" it asks us to "launch start up repair" or "start windows normally" we are unable to click on any of these as the keyboard connected will not let us navigate even though it has power to the keyboard as its lights are all on.

I have checked connections within the computer and they seem fine, nothing has changed. I've also set the BIOS to navigate the HDD, still no luck. I have also removed the cmos for a minute again with no luck.

Has anyone got any advice please im really confused! Kind regards

If you dont have a ps2 keyboard most BIOS have a setting to enable a USB keyboard, enable this and you should be able choose one of the options

As Buchanan said try to start in normally first before attempting to repair, quite often it will work

Sorry for the late response guys.

It turned out that the guy who sold us the pc had just recently installed a wireless adapter into it that same day. I removed this and since then they has been no shut downs or lack of booting.

Thanks for your time guys

Danny
