I had a 1tb storage drive and a 120gb ssd and everything was fine until I took the 1tb drive out

When I turn my PC on it boots straight into the bios even if I select the ssd as the boot drive, I fixed it yesterday just by restarting but today restarting isn't fixing it, anyone know of this issue

Is the installation using GPT? It may be the EFI partition was created on the 1Tb HDD. The EFI partition is created on the first drive it finds in the boot priority regardless of the drive you select to install the OS.

edit if these are different physical drives then removing one creates a bit of a problem and the system boots in to the BIOS.
