Hey,

I'm after a Linux distro, that's under 512mb's in size.

The sole purpose of it is to run Python scripts that interface with Windows files.

Needs:

Python support
hard drive support (will be going in to the windows partition from boot)

All i need is a terminal, then i can hit: python file.py

That's all, i can't find anything like this. :(

Deb net is 20mb, but that's just the install there's no features to it - the main is 650mb = too big. Tinycore doesn't have the support.

Arch Linux?

The ISOs come in at around 350MB and an installation gives you an extremely barebones Linux install (no window managers but I found internet connection surprsingly easy to get going). Has a nice package manager too.

It has great documentation too - directs you through the installation in a lot of detail.

If all your doing is using it for scripting then it might be worth using vm like virtual box instead

Just get a distro that u can customise the install
