So.. my system has 2 partitions on 1 drive - partition 1 as system reserved and partition 2 with my windows 7 installation.
For some silly reason I marked partition 2 as active in admin-storage options or whatever it is called and now my PC will not boot as my bootmgr is missing.
Any options to fix it or have I bust it?

Just don't use the recovery option on windows disk. That killed it for me. I found out later it was recoverable but I don't recall the method. It was for me anyway.

Also my gf loves your sig!

run command/ recovery prompt from a windows 7 Recovery Disc

type in:
diskpart

type in:
show volume

Find out the volume then type in:
select volume x
(x being the volume number)

then type in:
inactive

cheers guys - recovery disk did the trick in this instance but i know what you mean al4x - killed a vista installation so was warey about using it.

Good to hear. The missing message in that tiny white writing is an 'oh ****' moment
