Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Intel X58

After testing Crossfire 5770's i got this error straight after bootup, pc works fine nothing wrong with it, but it is no longer overclocking itself when something worthwhile loads + how do you turn that off? so its perma oc'ed

Had a look in bios but dont really know what im looking at.

Its on the ocuk overclocking values what it was when i got this bundle
Dont want to be playing around with them

cheers, Near

actually think it was the crossfiring because the 3Dmark test didnt reflect its previous by a fair amount.. now that i remember
may have been before that tho but didnt get the error message,

what?
You got what error? A BSOD? Which one? Does it happen all the time? Straight after bootup....which stage of bootup e.g. in POST, when windows is loading, after you login? What is your full system spec (PSU Specifically, if youve just added another GPU). If you take the second GPU out/turn off crossfire again does the issue go away?

I guess what you mean by "ocing itself" is that it stops downclocking itself below 4ghz when something "worthwhile" isnt running, in which case its Intel SPeedstep, you need to turn off one or two options in the BIOS which are C1E and E1ST iirc.

it only show'd once on startup the error it wasnt a BSOD it was when i logged in

as for the crossfire my 295( for the 2nd time) died n got a cheap 5770 and mate had same so thought we'd see how they performed crossfire. it was just for one 3dmark test which the test show'd it wasnt overclocking. as i had a screenie saved from when i first got the bundle.

and it shows everytime in boot into bios and go into (M.I.T) doesnt show in any other means.

and yes i mean intel Speedstep.

and as for PSU it is Hiper 880W HPU-4M880 SLi Certified ATX 2.2 Power Supply

the parts in BIOS>MiT that i feel are important are

BCLK ( shows when selected may cause boot errors )
Value [ 191 ]

and

System memory Multiplier ( shows when selected may cause boot errors )
Value [8.0]
