Ensures coverage of delivery costs.
I maybe wrong but my local Boots seems to keep stock of most things they sell

So there would be no extra delivery costs to them as they could just take the item or item's off the shelf or from the store room..

Boots are literally the most expensive place to buy anything. By a huge margin.

Not sure how anyone hasn't already figured this out.

Aren't you happy there's a company willing to have a high street presence where you can buy your smellies and medicinals.
Yeah I've popped into Superdrug on a few occasions. Also Tescos and Sainsburies :p

All of which are about 1/2 the price of Boots :p

It's not free to take something off the shelf and pack it, nor to provide the website in the first place.

You'd also be surprised how many retailers that offer click and collect have sent the product from a central depot because stores and online don't work together.
