Boots pay £1.50 to collect instore

I was just looking through the Boots website and noticed you have to pay £1.50 to collect instore if you spend less then £20

That just seems crazy to me that i need to pay £1.50 even if i collect the item myself from there store

I maybe wrong but my local Boots seems to keep stock of most things they sell

So there would be no extra delivery costs to them as they could just take the item or item's off the shelf or from the store room..

I think JL do this too. Just buy enough to price it over £20 and refund everything you don't want at the point of collection.

Yep just do this, odds on it'll be in stock unless buying something really bespoke

Yeah I've popped into Superdrug on a few occasions. Also Tescos and Sainsburies

All of which are about 1/2 the price of Boots

It's not free to take something off the shelf and pack it, nor to provide the website in the first place.

You'd also be surprised how many retailers that offer click and collect have sent the product from a central depot because stores and online don't work together.
