I have a similar issue. I have a 1TB Hitachi Sata (model HDT721010SLA360) hard drive that still appears in windows to be 70% full. However, when I browse to the drive all I see is 1 file: "bootsqm.dat" which is 13KB.

I have tried undelete utilities to no avail, the next step is to run checkdisk however I am afraid it may render the data gone for good.... I'm trying to clone/image the disk but so far none have copied more than 13KB of data.

Im running:
Windows 7 RC
The hard drive is formatted as GPT (GUID Partition Table) which means most drive image/clone tools don't recognize it. Also, this was not my OS drive, rather simply an E: drive with mainly media files.

Anyone had similar issues or have any suggestions?
