Has there been anything in recent years to dislodge Frosty Jacks, Buckfast and Thunderbird from the top of the list?

If one was looking to get obliterated over the course of a weekend but do so on a minimal budget what would they choose?

Who's have thought a post that contained Frosty Jacks would be moved to a section entitled "La Cuisine". I guess it doesn't have the stigma attached to it that it used to have.

The best way and the cheapest, is to go to a good Polish store and get some mocna strength beer, like Tatra mocne, or Perla mocna. It is cheap but of good quality. 7.5% or thereabouts and is a pound a can round my way. Imported and made properly.

Far better on your tastebuds and far less bad for you than that horrible synthesised 'cider', like Frosty Jacks.

Thanks for the info PapaLazaru. There's a big Polish community here in Coventry so I'm sure I could acquire some Tatra or Perla.

IMHO they should have stores where you can buy Polish booze, cuisine and ladies for your evenings entertainment and pleasure. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be the only customer. :D

You should always start off the evening by drinking the finest alcohol you have. By the time you have to move on to the cheap and nasty stuff you'll be past caring what it tastes like.

Are you Scottish ?

Let no man ever accuse you of stereotyping eh? :D

Given the choice I would always drink single malts but it doesn't hurt to know of the cheaper and deadlier alternatives, should a catastrophe occur.
