Not sure about anyone else but I have been rather disappointed in how this game panned out.
Specifically the loot system. Loot is determined from a preset list of possible combinations. Rarity has absolutely no link to item power, which is just messed up. I for one was hoping for a randomized serialisation of modifiers on weapons and understood there was a finite total amount of possibilities but did not expect the combinations to be pre-determined.
Additionally having to sit down and number crunch more than an MMO to find out what items are better than others REALLY detracts from the game play. A simple DPS indicator would go a long way to helping decide what to equip, after which you can chose the accuracy, number of bullets or weapon type etc independently without worrying that you will be doing less overall damage. I have spent far too much time in the debug window trying to decipher weapons which is just wrong.
For a game which is supposed to be drop-in/drop-out fun there is far too much complexity in what should have been a simple, but varied loot system.
I also hate that as a Hunter I cannot afford to wear any Class Mod but the one with +Loot Rarity/Drop rates. Not using it just feels like crippling your ability to obtain loot and I loathe having to wear it in lieu of class combat enhancing ones - there should be NO loot based modifiers in the game except the global ones (Loot power increasing with number of players)
