Borderlands 2 Officially Confirmed!

Read about rumours of this yesterday but today Gearbox confirmed it! http://www.borderlands2.com/ Something to look forward and hopefully it'll appear next year rather than 2013

New York, NY – August 3, 2011 – 2K Games and Gearbox Software announced today that the sequel to the extravasplosive breakout hit, Borderlands™, is currently in development at world-renowned developer Gearbox Software. Coming to the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC during Take-Two's fiscal year 2013 beginning on April 1, 2012, Borderlands 2 is the epic sequel to the ultimate four-player Role-Playing Shooter loot fest. Combining invention and evolution, Borderlands 2 features all new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment, which come together in an ambitiously crafted story. Players will reveal secrets, and escalate mysteries of the Borderlands universe as they adventure across the unexplored new areas of Pandora.

Meh. Not interested personally. Borderlands was a total flop for me, hyped to another solar system but did not deliver.

Like just about every game Gearbox has ever made. I dunno what it is about that company, their games always have a ton of hype yet theyre usually pretty average when they finally release.

Really enjoyed the co-op and multiplayer on the first Borderlands so looking forward to this one aswell

Have played Borderlands for 224 hours so far, am just playing my 4th charcter to 69. Will deffo be buying (also got high hopes for rage as well).

Idd, Borderlands was a huge dissapointment for me. Cell shaded graphics is horrible. Would have been great if they didn't use cell shaded

I really wanted to like this first one. But playing it with friends was a PITA as we had to use some 3rd pary app called GamesRader to even get in a game. I'm sure that is fixed now but I just can't be arsed with it any more.

Got drawn in with the hype on borderlands 1, same thing will probably happen to me on number 2 :rolleyes:
