Borderlands 2 rank reset

Anyone else had this issue? The game crashed and when I returned I noticed I wasn't leveling up.... Then I saw this!

Been looking and it's an issue with some people. Anyone else had this or have a fix?

It is very annoying because now I can't level up!

Thats your level not your rank. I thought you meant Badass Rank at first.

That is a very weird glitch though. Looks like its kept your level but erased all your exp so you've gotta gain it all from scratch. On the bright side, as you underlevel enemies you'll get more exp for the kill so you'll catch up faster. Its definitely better than your badass rank being reset anyway.

I'd have to kill over 4000 enemies to catch up!

Not if you keep going. They'll get higher level (hopefully) and the quest rewards start to increase too.

I'm not saying it doesn't seriously suck but at least your current level has been kept and it wasn't your Badass Rank instead. You haven't been fiddling around with Willow Tree or whatever the editor is called have you?

Enemy's are stuck at level 20 is some places. I currently get 240xp per kill and I need 492414 to get to level 25 and I have 100000. I don't want to continue with the main story line otherwise its a waste of XP. I've spent 25 hours on the game and it all feels like a waste!

Not heard of this issues mate, maybe post on the 2k borderlands forum? I take it you've googled this issue?

Aren't your saves backed up on Steam cloud? Just restore?

This is why I duplicate my save folder every so often. I had heard of Badass points being lost back to 0, but not the level stopping.

Report it to Gearbox and hope that it's not an isolated issue and they could maybe have a fix on the way.

I have googled and people have said use cheat engine to put the XP back up but I don't know how to do that so I won't mess with it. I am up to 150k xp but this is still bugging me. I would be a much higher level by now

Cannot restore from cloud as as soon as its uploaded to cloud its the ultimate save...
