I have saves from previous sessions and wanted to start a fresh character, but I don't want to include the increases in the skills chart and instead I am looking for a completely fresh start and am not sure how to accomplish this as starting a new character still gives the increased skills chart. (looked a little on the net and did not find anything).

Help please :(

Add me 'Psymonkee' on steam and I'll try and help you.

Should be as simple as starting a new game though!

Looking at the new character, you can hit the "Q" to disable the Bonus Stats (I should have written Bonus Stats instead of Skills from the start, sorry.), but I just want them back to zero so I start over instead of what appears to be shutting it off.

NOTE: I failed to reset it to zero :(

Psymonkee - see you online sometime :)

Ah Badass rank! I'm with ya now!

Badass rank is accumulated by doing lots of different things in game (pistol kills, chests opened etc.) and gives you rank which when you have enough you get tokens to spend. This can be acquired over multiple characters but applies globally to all characters sadly. Your options are:

1) disable it completely
2) increase all ranks equally.

Both have their drawbacks however - 1) obviously it then just becomes character skills that effect everything. Best if you want max negative benefits (shield recharge delay for instance). Option 2 just slowly makes everything faster and faster. Shield stripping becomes harder as your window for gaining advantage is diminished.

Really depends on how high a level you are playing and what you want to accomplish as well.

I'll catch you online sometime! :)

You should just be able to rename the This PC\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 2 folder and the game should recreate it the next time you start. You will, of course, lose your old characters. I'm not sure where BadAss ranks are stored. But unless you've got zillions of ranks then it doesn't actually make much difference.

Well, I saw this first on the net and it works, so ty for the idea :) ... The new character is in place now and my son can go ahead and dig in to the game too :) ..

Btw, here's what I found for the fix: "ou can reset the badass tokens simple. Go into your save game folder and find the file profile.bin and delete this file. Then load borderlands 2 up once and close out then load it up again. select the character that you want to use and then you have your tokens back."

TY to one and all :)
