Borderlands 2 - unable to adjust physx setting GTX670

I read some of the amd people were having to open up a file and change a line of text so you could try that. I can find a link for you if you want

It worked fine on my 660ti

So I haven't tested this as mine worked without it but I have seen many people repeating this infomation so I believe it to be true.

Search for:

PhysXLevel

Change

PhysXLevel=0 (low)

to either:

PhysXLevel=1 (mid)

or

PhysXLevel=2 (high)

cool. I should be good then.

Too busy playing - just started.

Will update drivers and if it doesn't allow me to change, I'll try the above fix.

(once I can stop playing that is!)

Not noticeable on my system. I run with vsync on so a solid 60fps.

Ideally need a lesser powered setup to comment.

The physx effects are nice and certainly the difference from low to high is huge.

Does PhysX have much performance impact then? I thought we'd moved on from it having an impact nowadays.

There are reports that even a 680 will struggle with Physx on high in the later areas of the game. Apparently only SLI users have high Physx 100% smoothly through the entire game.

The 660ti can cream through the whole game at 60fps so I am pretty sure a 680 could do it.

I've dropped to medium physx settings as I noticed a bit of frame rate drop now and again in large battles.

I've read that may be something that needs patched rather than the card struggling though.

My 670 is overclocked as well so out performs a standard 680.
