Borderlands crash

Ok heres a new one for me! Went to play Borderlands today (via steam) and suddenly its not working :/ Done a complete file wipe and reinstalled it and its still giving me errors. Wont even start up! I googled the error and all I came up with was something about physx, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of that, and still no joy :/
Just curious if anyone has encountered this before:

what part of the game were you on and what were you doing when it crashed ?

or maybe it never started.....

anyway with the info you haven't provided im guessing your windows is bugged up and it's not the game or your hardware/

Nah it never even started. couldnt get ingame. Windows 7, and the rest of it hardware etc shouldnt be too much of an issue cause it was working fine till last run :/

Still sounds like something is wrong with your windows or something that has been installed.

Out of curiosity, did you fully restart your machine after reinstalling PhysX?

I had similar issues with Metro 2033. Reinstalling PhysX was the key, but it still didn't work until I actually restarted.
